CORBON/NIOB frowned at the non-implementation of the National Building Code.

  By Usman Abdullahi Koli ***As the building professionals met, and reviewed it's activities to find way forward on the challenges affecting building practice.*** The Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) and Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON) stakeholders recently organized a zonal retreat for the north east zone in Bauchi. The retreat aimed to address various issues affecting the building profession, including the problem of unqualified individuals practicing (QUACKERY), and the need for increased membership enrollment.    During a visit to Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe in Gombe State, Honorable Basko Mangari, the stakeholder engagement officer to the coordinating minister of health and Social welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, expressed appreciation for the management's efforts in ensuring patient satisfaction and the provision of quality care. Basko specifically highlighted the Accident and Emergency section of the health facility, acknowledging that trauma centers are typically crowded and complex due to emergency cases. However, Basko noted that the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe stood out from the general perception of trauma centers based on what was observed during the visit.
