We are not recruiting, awarding contracts, says ATBUTH Bauchi

Muhammad Sani Abdulhamid The management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, says its attention has been drawn to a false and misleading information being circulated in the public domain that the hospital embarks on a recruitment exercise.  Those behind this fake news request illegal money from people. The public should note that the said recruitment is untrue, a statement by the hospital's Head of Public Relations Units, Usman Abdullahi Koli, said.       According to the statement "In the light of the above, the Management of the hospital hereby distances itself from the action taken by any group or individual, collecting money from people in the name of securing appointments or award of contracts to some applicants". Therefore, the statement advised the general public to be wary of any fraudster claiming to be the Chief Medical Director of ATBUTH, as the CMD has never engaged in the award of contracts for the purchase of medical ...

WCFD: Parents have been urged to seek for medical care for their children at early age

Parents have been required to seek for medical attention for their children born with deformity on the legs known as club foot at the early stage to avoid complication. A consultant orthorpaedic with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi Dr.Emand Timothy gave this indication while interacting with newsmen on the 2023 World Foot Club Day in Bauchi. Dr.Emand Timothy said the day was celebrated on the 3rd of June every year to mark club foot deformity faced by children with legs which appears to be upside down. According to the Health expert,the ailment encountered by most of the children right from their mother's womb can be cured immediately within five to six weeks before crawling if reported on time. He adviced parents to take their children with such cases to the hospital as soon as possible to correct the anormally at a time when the tissues are very soft instead of allowing it to grow older.
