The Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAP, Bauchi) in collaboration with North East Development Commission (NEDC) held a 5 day Training Workshop  of Registered Private Security Agents and Personnel of Volunteer Security Groups on Combating Insecurity in the North East of Nigeria in Damaturu, Yobe state The aim of the Workshop is to bring together security practitioners from all private security commands/sectors to  enhance practices, and equipped them with the skills they require in tackling/ addressing violent extremism and terrorism in the society. Dr. Muhammad Auwal disclosed this shortly after he was declared winner of the recently concluded Deanage election of the school. Muhammad Auwal, who won the election unopposed and going for his second tenure, said lecturers promotion is one of the major concerns of his office, and as such will follow all legal processes to achieve that.  He promised to look into student-teacher relationship with caution, adding that his office would ensure that all staff and students abide by the rules and regulations of the institution.
